The orange paint is Rustoleum.
It will be given a top coat of clear two part linear urethane.

This coming year orange will be a popular color.
Penny's is selling orange clothing already.

So those counties providing orange jumpsuits may have to change to purple jump suits now.
That way they will not tazer innocent citizens. LOL..lol

What the tank looks like together with the frame.
I also got the chain made to length and made some special
axle spacers for my paddock stand, to hold the rear axle.

I thought saying "IT"S GREAT!" would have been a lil over the top.

Seriously loving this bike though, all joking aside. Too bad I didn't join here before painting my frame, might have had a rake change. If I had the skill and knowledge how to do it.

I thought long and hard about it when I saw this...but I just couldn't commit.

This morning 32º and I went into the garage and attached the brake
reaction arm and installed the oil filter.

It always takes longer when putting it together. Got to go hunt down a washer and now I need to drive all the way to the hardware store and get two cotter keys.
But before I go I am going to have some hot apple pie and a coffee.

I had to redo my oil lines because when I took a photo to put on line I noticed one of the oil hoses was squashed.

To correct the problem I had to NOT use the Cycle-x aftermarket oil fittings and instead I had to cut off the fittings from the stock oil hoses that attach to the engine. One of the stock HJONDA engine oil fittings (the rear one), is VERY trick/ It is cast so that it is LESS than 90º so that the oil hose can be routed between the engine case and the rear foot peg mount.

Now I have it all straightened out. Will post photo.
Also with the stock engine oil hose fittings you eliminate two potential sources for leaks on each hose connection.

squashed hose
The problem.
Trick Honda fitting
Stock Honda fitting is less than 90º and points inwards towards the engine case.
Mess from above
Except for repainting the chipped up brake lever and hose clamps, this area is finished.

Return oil line.

Good catch on that line. What are you using for clamps on your oil lines?

I will probably go to the marine supply store and see if they have some decent stainless clamps.
It is getting harder to find the non perforated style clamps.
Do you have a specific recommendation?

I just used some MAX 2K clear two part paint in a spray can. WOW!!!

It goes on with excellent pressure and you can really pile
on the paint without drips and it is like liquid glass!

Make sure you wear your mask and be upwind etc.,.
This paint can kill you if you do not follow instructions.
The warnings are on the FRONT of the can.
Lots of ventalation! Make sure you are not near a source of ignition, like a hot water heater.

Only problem is the paint only is good for 40 hours and then it hardens.
I painted a sportster gas tank and a fender and applied the paint very thick.

There is still 3/4 can of paint left that is going to be un useable.

Photos tomorrow. Before and after.
