Now where in the world would, you find a hood, for a 48 Oldsmobile, so fast? The bracket to the rear of that abomination is the original kickstand bracket.

Thanks Piute,i'm debating on putting the center stand back on mine or not.If i lower the bike it will probably be useless. Was gonna shave off all unused brackets, but that brings me back to something we were talking about awile ago, ruining perfectly good frame for someone who might want to restore it one day.Tools was right(go figure )about the other bracket on the frame being the original location. My concern is if i cut off the added bracket if the original one will not work with the current exhaust.I hate to have to put motor back in frame and hang pipes just to find out,but if i can shave this extra abomination off id be glad to.Just dont know why it was ever added.Talk to previous owner tomorrow

Might have to go that route.I usually build whatever i need. You know, elbow grease is free!Guess i need to reassemble it so i know what i need to keep and what i need to shave off. Thanks for the info on the jiffy pop...i mean...jiffy kickstands. Are they good with butter and a movie?HAHA

That's why you have that smaller bracket it's A 76 some reason thought was a 78,so then your kickstand is A little forward of the corner, not on it like mine,...Piute...

Put the motor back in the frame so i could hang the pipes and check out this bracket situation.Seems the forward bracket was added because factory corner bracket is unusable with these pipes on the bike. Why would someone manufacture a set of pipes for a cb750 that won't fit a cb750?
See how the corner bracket sits right in the crease of the tail pipe? So Piute, you're saying since mine was built as a corner stand frame and not a forward stand frame that makes it a non ss?I'm confused...again

I did get the frame stripped down and ready for powder though
