Did a little more polishing tonight. Doing all this polishing on a bench mounted grinder kinda sucks.Everything gets flung in your face.Thought i was gonna have to shave my beard off, never washed my face with go-jo before. When i scraped all the grease off the inside of the chain cover i discovered a rubber on one of the pegs.Chain guides i suppose? Had a big and a little peg, only had a rubber on the big peg.It was a little bit chewed up,not too bad, looked like someone had reversed it at some time.I'm assuming i need one for the smaller peg as well????Guess i need to peek at manual

They look nice. The valve covers are all the same. However that does look a little chopperish. Have, you seen the flat ones? I think Tommy Summers has them (lowriders by summers). http://www.lowridersbysummers.com/parts/index.htm

Here are the rubbers i was talking about inside the sprocket covers,so much grease in there i didn't even know they were there.Thought maybe i had scraped out my smaller rubber on accident with all the gease,so i dug thru the trash today but found nothing.BTW,what is the deal with the auto chain oiler?Haven't found it.Should i turn it off?

I believe they(it) are factory installed by the looks of how it is molded

This one has been reversed at some time, had a lot of wear on the one side, but bike only shows 37,000 miles on it

Here is the smaller peg that is missing the rubber, you can see how the chain has dug into it,don't like that

Yea, if, you can find it. Definitely turn it off. That rubber is a new one on me. It is important to keep the chain adjusted on these bikes. a lot of them have been destroyed because of the chain coming off. Honda recommends adjusting the chain every three hundred miles.

Those gold chains are all over e-bay. You know. I have been looking at your sprocket cover, and think, you should polish the inside also. It would look a lot better. Especially when, you remove it to change sprockets.

What is a sprocket cover?Naaaah, think i can let that slide. Got my case covers done tonight, working on polishing front brake caliper now.Having a @*%$* of a time getting the paint of off them.I guess that Japenese leaded paint was some good junk

Hold on now,Piute...if i remember correctly YOU are the one that told me cut and polished aluminum was good looking.I been cutting and polishing just for you

If i ebay a chain how many links do i look for and what brands/models to avoid? What is the going price for a gold 530 chain, and do they stay gold?I see they say they are brass plated, doesn't sound real durable,i don't know.Seems like about $64 for the one i need and free shipping.....i think thats all i got for now
