 I'd take the point off the back witch would also short in it  few inches

I know what you mean.Gotta wait until my tail light gets here to decide on that.I cant drop the rear(i dont think)because i wanna set the light under the rear fender,and dont if i will have the clearance to do that.I could raise the front up,but i got the height of it parallel to the trailing edge of the tank,so i dont wanna mess that up.I really want the front edge of the rear to be level with the rear edge of the tank.

my tach cable is / has been leaking too did you fix / O-ring ordidn't figure yet,I haven't even tryed to pull off yet,thought you had a size
                                                                   

   Having to contact superstore before ordering my tire need measurements,picking up battery on way home,Monday
Gas ,need to run through the gears

I havent touched it since the other night when i took it out for a stroll.Everybody cashed in their favors this weekend.Not that i mind,but looking forward to work so i can get some rest.Im gonna jump on that monday evening.One thing that may have caused mine to leak.I forgot to run the hoses for the engine breathers.Still had rubber plugs over them from where i painted the engine.oops

   being a bit lazy tonight ,just checking out tank and measured up my tire,belive it will fit ,but afraid to order ,till I talk to them or Sarg.!! cause his tire should be just as wide letting the batt charge and be ready for ride tomarrow,
 coming along better then I thought

Sounds good!Get those knees in da breeze!   I checked on the tach cable seal.Its not an o-ring.Its a sort of flat disc.Didnt pull it out,just cleaned real good with carb cleaner and put a good coat of silly cone on it.So far so good

  Has to be inspected in this state,and can't go far with front tire looking
 but can hit this road behind house and hit the train tracks
  still need to take a look at mine,It's getting a ring anyhow most likely.

I will probably end up with a new o-ring,too.Has leaked yet,but hasn't seen much runtime,either.Got my seat pan made tonoght and welded to the tail piece.Time to dust off the old Singer sewing machine now!
