Piute, the Blue Ridge Parkway is all over where i live.I love it.It sucks to drive in a car cause you cant see anything. It is absolutely beautiful this time of year with the leaves changing. It is kinda rough in spots, i pogo-ed a few times on bridge joints, but you can see soooo much more on a bike. You have no idea how much fun i had today.I was worried about not having anyone to ride with, but it doesnt matter.I thoroughly enjoyed myself today.Im gonna burn it up Sunday after church

Tools,i havent had that yet.I got alot of thumbs up today, but i rarely ever came to a stop to talk to anyone.Just ridin'.....I gotta get those emblems off of there. They are too modern looking. Its driving me nuts

Man, I'm jelous, I want to go ride. When my settlement check comes maybe I'll treat myself to a little CB350 or something to put around on. And I'm also gonna buy sooooooooo many parts for the 750. I can't wait.

i love the bike Shine. It's real nice.

Thanks for the kind words,City.Yours will be together before you know it.Nothing to be too jealous about, mine wont even rev past 5,ooo rpm. We'll get to that.Hey,Tools.I got the reverse issue on the tank today.I stopped at an overlook on the Parkway today.Had to get a little ride in before i went to the track.A guy was looking at the bike and said:"I never owned a Suzuki, but i had an old Honda one time that had a motor that looked just like that yours"He thought it was cool after i  pointed out what i had done.Him and his wife were from up next to Staunton,Va and were in visiting family.Nice people.Ended up talking to them for about a half an hour and almost missed first round of qualifying.Oh well,at least i got another 55 miles in this morning.

How are the pods working out for you? I have read where they are a total pain to get the jetting right.
Why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to god one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.

Samir it sounds like he still needs to tweek the jetting since 5000rpm is all it will pull and I bet he hasnt done it yet.  I run pods on my cafe and it wasn't really a big deal to get them right,  you have the same carbs as ribs and I so it should be easy.  Tools has mentioned raising the needles first, so start there.

Re: Here is my FREE bike!

Yeah,i really need to try raising the needles next.I will definitely try that before i buy new jets or drill the ones i have. When i had the points cover off earlier, before i ever rode it,i noticed a witness mark where the timing was much more advanced than it was at that time.I have been slowly adding more timing into the motor and it has been responding well.I am not yet at that witness mark.Been keeping on ear out for detonation,so progressing slowly in that concern. When i first got it out it would struggle to rev to 5ooo then top out,now it will zing to 5000,but still tops out.It does seem as if the motor is running lean. As far as riding with the pods,i cant really say a whole lot,but i will say this.I have read a few times of people saying that a strong cross wind will affect them.I believe this may be true.I was running along a particular piece of road that was flat and perfectly straight(which SUCKS btw) for about 2 miles.I was cruising about 55 mph when a really strong sideways wind hit me.It really sucked because i was riding wearing my old dirtbike helmet, you know the ones with a duck bill type sun visor? My neck still hurts. When that wind hit my bike really slowed down.It was an opening in the trees which let the wind get to me and i could barely maintain 45mph.I pulled the choke up to half closed position and it went back to normal. There may be some validity to that concern. Also remember that i have a weird exhaust setup going on.Who knows how that will affect things. The bike still pulls up to 65-70 mph with ease and am looking forward to see the true potential of this engine!!!
Snapped a few pics with a real camera on todays ride
See the spattering of white behind the top of the pine tree? That is  my 'hood.I am in Blue Ridge right here at the Montvale overlook

That far mountain range you see there is Lynchburg,VA.AKA:Hill City.I started my ride right in the middle of the valley you see,Montvale,VA,took the Blue Ridge Parkway to Bedford, about 25 miles from Lynchburg, doubled back through Montvale and ended up in Roanoke.Looking at this pic imagine climbing  out of the valley at the 9 o'clock area of the pic, turning right and traveling clockwise on that mountain range, then coming back around the mountain counter-clockwise to where this pic was took. The third cloud shadow from the bottom, the furthest one out,is where i live.It was an awesome experience for my first time on a street bike.I can't wait to travel further.I think this Saturday that I am gonna leave around day break and see if i can circle the whole valley in a day.Im still not comfortable riding at night
