LOL.I dont know about at it's best, but my best at least. Thanks bud

I mounted an old front tire on the rim to get a decent mock up today. 110/90-19 front & 120/90-19 rear. I could probably fit a 130 rear real easy. I might do that. Either way I like the tallness of these tires. If I can get the calipers and rotors sorted out I think end up sticking with the Comstars.Might as well, they're paid for BUT,I did weight the complete rear wheel assembly today. Wheel, rotor, cush drive, sprocket and tire come in at a ridiculous 48 pounds!!!My silver bike weighs 480 lbs with a full tank!!! That's 10% of the total bikes weight in just ONE wheel!!! Hooooly cow, that sucks! But I am kind of digging the plain silver wheel with the blacked out bike, though. I might just stick with this setup...who knows...

I really think I'm gonna stick with these pipes. I kinda dig 'em. Small, light, easy to build and not very noticeable.Besides,a little birdie told me they looked OK.

It dawned on me just how dang ugly that side stand isI gotta do something with that

I sat on the bike today and the foot pegs felt bad. With this seat 1'' lower felt just right. My knees were hitting a crease on the tank and I know it would end up being really uncomfortable. So,new pegs are in order. The bike needs something less clunky looking than the stockers anywho. I also need to come up with handle bar mounts to put on the top clamp. No clip ons here. I just put a set of dirty bars on the silver bike and love em. I miss the look of the clubmans, but the bike just has a light feel to it now with the added leverage. Gotta love dirty bars!

Plus dirty bars have that crash bar in the center that you can wrap up with some nice foam padding to protect your face

I took that offIt didn't look right on the other bike. This bike will have one though.

Got one side of my pipes and mufflers done today. Only one side cuz I gotta drag this table out and turn it around to get to the other sideDumb oversight on my part. It's kinda heavy now These pipes weigh in at 8lbs per sideI'm thinking of adding some offroad style heat shields on them.Help add to the 'mechanical' look Im shooting for.

Made the baffle

Wrapped it with header wrap. Looks wrong, but it has held up for 8,000 + miles on the other bike

Bolt 'er in!

Shaved the side covers and made a lexan window on the sprocket coverA shiny new sprocket and chain should stand out a lot better than this one that got bombed black.

Speaking of oversights....I'm pretty concerned about front tire to header clearance now.I gotta get the springs outta these forks and see what I'm working with.It looks much worse in this pic than it really is,but it still does not look good.Got the kickstand angled up a little better.Looks better like this. Holding off any other side stand mods til I get it on the ground and see what the new ride height dictates.

Um...another oversight. These headers weren't as flexible as I hoped. I had to clearance on the spigots to get back over the downtubes. I think they'll seal alright.I torqued them down pretty good and the ears didnt seem to want to spread open. I'm really not much of an engineer

Still wasn't happy with the tail pipes. The straight back turnouts looked kinda chopper-ish. Kinda like old Vette side pipes. So I kicked up the back a tad. It's not much of a difference, but enough that it looks like someone at least tried to tuck them tight. Still not 100% happy. The tip needs something different, just not sure what

Made a foot peg. Hope it dont whistle

Proposed heat shields. Still up in the air on these. Original plan was to wrap the headers black and powdercoat these satin black,or maybe leave them raw aluminum.

What if you turned the turnouts so they aim straight down? would give the side profile a more mechanical look as the pipe will look like it has a sort of slash-cut tip on it.

My side pipes on my Elc. I turned them down just enough to cut-down on sound and give a nice echo off the ground the sound was great(like tuning a Gee-tar...
Looking good though Just a thought "IF" you were to move the bike holder upper thingy (kick stand) Move it to the other side,.

Tools-Our Ford( 6.0 Powerstroke) had been sitting in the driveway for two weeks awaiting a new computer. The Chevy and The Dodge have been taking up the slack . Honestly, they're all equally junky. They just break in different areas. I cant really complain with 253,000 miles and this being my first set of wheel bearings.Only other thing I've done to the truck is an lower balljoints at 220,000 and an alternator at 240,000. I should be grateful that I could afford to fix my truck, rather than throw a hissy fit cuz it interfered with my motorcycle budget.I'm dumb.

Speaking of Fords. Did you get yours fixed?

Piute- Loved the shooting it up ideaYou're a nut dude. And on the heat sheilds,I know what you mean. I kinda like them and kinda hate them. They're just dead weight really.

Yea I fixed it. Turned out to be the pump. However it was only $45.00, and 30 minutes work.

Another -1 for the heat shield. No point to them other than cosmetics. I say wrap them rascals with header wrap.

Nice tracker by the way!!!

Thanks man.Yeah, the heat shields are a no-go. A trackerhmmm,i dont know what to call this bike. Tracker works,I guess. I get lost in the styles, but i dont like when people call it a street figherNot my cup of tea at all! My buddy Eric calls it the psycho bike. He says even it doesn't know what it is

I had a love affair with my drill press for about 4 hours today. There's nothing fast about drilling speed holes I got a couple holes off on the brake pedal armNot happy, but it wont really show. The plan is to do the stems in black and the pedal tubes in silver

Put some casters on the table so its mobile nowLooking at the other side I think I prefer a silver swingarm.I dunno. I have got to be the most indecisive person I know.

*EDIT* I just noticed how big and ugly that rear disc isUgh,thats gotta go...or get severely drilled. More holes to dril.....

A red swingarm would make that thing pop, but do like a dark red like a tinted candy-apple red would look nice.

Hmmm.Red. I'd have to photoshop that to see it. My imagination aint all that. On the hunt for modern rotors for the rear I found that late model Ducati rotors will bolt on the front of a spoke Cb wheel! Spokes are 6 hole rotor pattern, comstars are 5 :(. Still good to know.
