I couldn't come up with anything for the rubber band, paper clip and drinking straw. They wouldn't accept weld so I'm out Hand controls! '00 ZX6 clutch perch and m/c. All reworked inside and pc'ed outside.Mini-risers still need some love.
Working on the steering stops now. Not cooperating...

Could not figure out what to build with a rubber band, paper clip, and a drinking straw. I'm really disappointed in you. It's, so easy. You build a rubber band powered spit ball shooter. TOOLS

You'll get used to that. But wait, are ya'll serious?
Steering stops and damper are sorted. I dont like how the stops on my other bike have banged the PC off of the neck. So I came up with this. Stainless banging stainless Stabilizer mounting tab. Drilled! I'm seriously trying to shave every unneeded ounce of weight off this bike. So tired of drilling holes...
Welded on the neck, heated with a torch and twisted into proper alignment. It really irks me that the damper doesn't lay parallel to the ground but I guess it is what it is.
Starting on the points cover now.More holes to drill! Woo Hoo!... I think I'm gonna have to incest ina Dremel.I need something more delicate than my current head porting tools to whip this one into shape

Oh,I finally measured the trail numbers with this new front end. It has way less offset than the CB stuff. Stock is around 3.75'' of trail. The negative offset of these trees are giving me 4.5''-5'' of trail. No solid numbers yet. More trail Perfect for a highway machine!

I know man, then you could mount it on the handlebars of the bike and shoot spitwads at passerbys, lol.
Man that things got a lot of holes in it, should whistle going down the road, hope it all pays off

Well, maybe I will sell this one then! Who knows...not me,thats for sure I'm still anxious to see inside this engine. If it needs a rebuild-it'll be slow going-but it'll get good parts It needs a cam for sure since the chop stole this one.lol
Ok guys. Input please. Side cover idea Plan "B"! The idea was to mount the covers inside the frame to help preserve the open frame look and to help keep the rear end looking slim. The lil wing poking out back hides the battery. I could lose the wing and just black out the battery,or even make a box for it,but the profile of the battery showing would still be there. Current plan is to run the side panel raw AL for contrast against a satin black frame.Pretty much how it is now.
What should I do here guys? Use it or lose it?

USE it Here's a thought the back part (covers batt?) how about a slot cut in it long ways (vertical) ,
I think it would give a matched look to the comstar slots in rim,Also lighter

Use them, and I was thinking box in the back end to the contour of those side pieces and run it like it's an inner fender
