No doubt. I wish this was a gear-driven engine, but it is the early version.

No joke!

I'm getting the 80F ready to sell ( I really want an XR), and I'll be cracking on with Hackjob soon. Hackjob will probably be sold, unless I fall in love with how it rides. Who knows. All I need to do is sort out the r&r and paint it. It may get wrapped.

I'm sure the 1100F will be a keeper for a highway bike, so no need to keep the 823. Identical bikes, but the 1100 makes about 30-40 more hp - no brainer.  I'm pretty sure my old BSA frame will hold this V4. If not, I'll build a frame from scratch....which I'm kinda want to do anyway. The Beezer is exactly long.

1100F on 17's, a bone stock XR650L with luggage and a V4 chop. I think that will make a well-rounded stable of bikes to play with.

I'm going to pick up another twin cam F soon. Tomorrow hopefully. Runs, clear title if he can find it and complete. 150 smackeroos. I just want it for the stock carbs and airbox so I can FIX MY BIKE AND RIDE AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Now...what shall I do with a spare I4 engine that I'll have laying around....

the medium is the message . . . and the definition of "phobia" has changed/been taken over.

now, if you don't like something/disagree with anyone you have a ___phobia.

guess that means I'm veganphobic.

The other night as I was leaving a restaurant I was chatting with a young woman that had been having dinner with her two children in the booth next to me. The little girl, maybe 5 years old kept turning around peeking at me, so I started waving to her when she did this. She would look surprised and turn around real quick, then turn around and peek again. They were leaving at the same time I was, so I held the door for them and started to chat with them. As we got to the parking lot I started to turn to the Toolmatic. The little boy, maybe 7 years old said to me "you have a motorcycle?" I replied "yes I do" and then the little girl said "do you have a car?" I replied "no, I have a truck, and I have a dog, I have a motorcycle, a truck, and a dog, life is good."  We all left with smiles.

That reminds me of a funny story. A friend of mine in Camden SC had an antique store, and use to have a boom box playing music when he was open. One day a kid came in, picked up the boom box and ran. My friend called the police, and not long after the police were returning his boom box. My friend inquired how they had found it so quickly, and how they knew it was his boom box. The officer responded that it did not take much detective work to determine that the boom box being carried by a young bleep man running down the street with an Elvis Christmas CD in it was stolen, and belonged to him.

The Kawasaki didn't cut it.

Honda... I'm home. I won't stray again

5hp less than the KLR, but also 165lbs LIGHTER. Lovely.

I've spent the last few weeks looking at several dirtbikes/dualsports.

Yamaha WR-F's, WR-R's <-- actually a very cool bike for open country
KTM EXC's , W's, F's
Kawasaki KLX, KX-F
Suzuki DRZ, RM.....the list goes on.

NOBODY has the fit and finish of Honda. Nobody. Not just street bike or dirtbikes, just in general. Honda might not always make the most high performance model in a particular market, but they definitely put more heart in to it. JMO.

You should really inspect the new, flashy KTM rocketships up close... man, they are cheesy built.

A friend of mine just bought a Honda Transalp. I took it for a ride and really liked it. He is getting ready to ride it to Baja here soon. Just if it had an automatic transmission.
