Fnally fixed my press today. The little stob that you press with was bending (well, actually it was a little cocked when I bought it...) and when I went to straighten it today it just popped off at the weld. Apparently, Northern Hydraulics used an HF welder to attach it.  Anyway, I've been wanting to thread the tip of the stob for a long time ( to make different dies for the end of it) so I figured now was the time.

Trued up and threaded both ends with 1/2'' coarse. Female threads on top and a bolt rather than welding it back on. I can make completely different tools to press with since it's not permanently mounted. Male threads on the bottom allows me to make different dies that can changed out depending on the job.

Simple really, but I'm pretty happy about this. If nothing else, it frees up a hand by having the ability to screw a top press plate directly to the stob.

Now that is a good idea. Next you should make some dies to use it as a press break.

Trying to do a super basic job. A pair of ball joints on Crystal's truck. But now I need a special $120 tool ( that only fits this particular model) to reinstall the seal because the factory couldn't machine a stop-lip in the steering knuckle?

Screw that! I'll measure off the other side and make my own. Though I really don't have the time for this!

This is nothing but a way to rob professional mechanics, put the screws to diy'ers and drive up costs. Specialized, model-specific tooling for basic maintenance items should fall under monopoly laws IMO. Or maybe I'm just a little revved up. Anyway... reach over

You could just call and ask about the missing electrical parts. Those bikes are bringing big $$$$$$ now. I sold my really ragged out one a few years ago for $1,150 to a guy sight unseen.

I heard an advertisement on the radio for gummy vitamins. Vitamins, but made like gummy bears... to be easier to ingest...for adults. Adults!

How much freaking softer are American's gonna get?

I remember being embarrassed when I was a kid and my mom bought my sister and myself Flintstone vitamins. I was like " Mooooom... I'm not a little kid. I can eat regular vitamins ". I was 5.

Gummy vitamins for grown a$$ men...geez. lol

problem is there are a lot of males who have not grown up -- they are boys in men's bodies.
